Our first Racing trainig

You can imagine racing like horse or hounds racings. The only difference is in terrain, here the dog is running in the straight line, with obstacles or without and more times in the competiton. This sport is comming from USA where the dog racing is for terriers only since 60th.

The straight track has 70 - 100 m and the dog's target is a) be first in the finnish b) run in the fastest time.

Dogs run the track with or without obstacles and run after the tassel. There might be 3 to 5 low obstacles on the track. The finnish is made by a wall (it is made from soft foam) with the hole inside matching the height of the dog. Soft foam helps to reduce any injury.

1. Dogs are starting in the group from the starting boxes and run fast into the hole in the wall. The dog who's the first wins.
2. Dogs are starting alone from the starting boxes and run into the finnish where they are hunting a tassel. Here there is time the most important. The dog with the fastest times from all races wins.

At the trainigs it is possible to run the track with or without the obstacles and from the beginning dogs are running solo. In the moment the dog is fully fixed to the tassel he/she is fully grown up and is able to start from starting box he/she can run in a group.
